VYSA uses NYSWYSA (New York State West Youth Soccer Association) age matrix to determine the appropriate age level for your child. There are always situations where kids may be in a younger soccer age group, and they want to play up an age group to be with their friends or because they want better competition. All of these situations are handled on a case by case basis between the two coaches and the training committee. The first place to start is the coach if you feel your child should play at a different age group.
